In the early morning hours of February 3rd, 2020, Adelyn "Addie" Rose Thompson was born into this world via an emergency Cesarean Delivery. Ashley had been suffering from worsening pre-eclampsia symptoms and was scheduled for an early delivery at 37 weeks on February 6th, 2020. On the evening of February 2nd Ashley started to experience bleeding and continuous abdominal pain and went to the Sanford Family Birth Center. She was admitted for delivery of her daughter. Unfortunately, by the time a Cesarean "C-Code" was called it was too late for Adelyn, and she was unable to live without life support. Later it was found that during the night Ashley suffered from a placenta abruption, which was originally thought to be labor pains.

Adelyn's family gathered at the hospital where a baptism was performed by a dear family friend. Adelyn's family had the opportunity to hold Adelyn and say their goodbyes. After just 11 short hours, Adelyn passed away in the loving arms of her mother, Ashley, and father, Chad.

After Adelyn's passing, Ashley and Chad had a desire to spread hope and healing to the community in honor of Adelyn. Ashley and Chad chose to start a non-profit organization dedicated to helping those who have suffered a similar loss. After seeing the lack of services throughout their community and in their geographical area they made the decision to also offer services to other groups such as individuals impacted by perinatal mental health disorders, infertility, or families who have children being treated for chronic or terminal illnesses.

Through this organization, Ashley and Chad keep Adelyn's memory alive.
